We Believe
Here is what we believe in a nutshell:

We are saved from sin and eternal death by God's grace alone.
(Romans 11:6; Ephesians 2:5,8,9)

We are made right with God and enjoy peace with Him through Christ Jesus alone.
(John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Romans 5:1,2)

We come to share in this blessing through faith alone.
(Romans 1:16,17; 3:25,26,28; Hebrews 11:6)

We learn of our need and of God's love from the Bible alone.                                                                                 (Deuteronomy 12:32; Isaiah 8:20; Colossians 2:8; 2 Timothy 3:16,17)

We can then live and work and worship for God's glory alone.
 (1 Corinthians 6:20; 10:31)

    Our Confessions

We use three "confessions" adopted by the Reformed churches in the days following the Reformation as further, more detailed statements of our beliefs today.  Since they unite us in the true faith we call them the Three Forms of Unity

The Heidelberg Catechism - 1976.pdf  was first published in 1563. Its simple, warm, personal style helps even our children learn to love God's Word and Christ their Savior.

The Belgic Confession - 1976.pdf  was first put together in 1561 by Guido de Bres, who died a martyr to the faith in 1567. He and his followers told King Philip II that they would "offer their backs to stripes, their tongues to knives, their mouths to gags, and their whole bodies to fire," rather than deny the Bible's truths expressed in this confession.

The Canons of Dort - 1976.pdf  were published in 1619 by an international meeting of Christian church leaders. This document explains in more detail how God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit saved us from our sins. The teachings found here are commonly known as "the five points of Calvinism" or "the doctrines of grace."
